Learning and Development

At The Learning Zone there are many opportunities for your child to develop and explore new skills as well as laughter and fun. We know that every child is unique and to help each child to reach their potential, every activity is designed for specific areas of your child’s development.

The nursery is well equipped with a range of play equipment toys, art and craft materials, puzzles, books, sensory equipment, tablets and natural resources such as sand, water and soil etc…

All activities are planned with children's individual needs, interests and stage in mind in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which creates a coherent and flexible approach to care and learning for all children under five years of age.

The EYFS is used in our daily planning and evaluation of learning activities and the care that we provide. We also use the areas of learning and development to observe and assess each individual child. The areas of learning and development are as follows:
