Keyworker

As a setting we take pride in all practitioners providing individual tailored care to every child. On admission to nursery each child is allocated a Key Worker. The role of a Key Worker is to help your child to settle in and to build up a relationship with them and with you so you feel you can discuss your child's progress and development at any time you like. Your child's Key Worker will also be responsible for ensuring that records are kept up to date.

Although we allocate Key workers, we sometimes find that children will choose who they settle with.

Open door policy

At the Learning zone we have an open-door policy and strive to maintain a good parent/carer partnership by working together to benefit each child’s individual need. We build on what the child already knows using their experiences. We believe that when practitioners and parents/carers work together it results in a positive impact on the children’s development and learning.
